Nicole Brisé has served as the Women's Ministries director for the Southeastern Conference (SEC) in Florida, USA, for the past eight years. When she was first asked to take this position she asked herself what she could do to help women become more active in the church. This led her to reflect on her childhood and the calling that God had placed on her life for evangelism.
From 2000-2001, eight churches in the SEC allowed their women to do public evangelism using the program Brisé prepared. Other churches in the conference used other evangelistic methods and as a result of their combined efforts 348 souls were baptized and 87 former members reclaimed. During the year 2002, the women attending the conference WM Leadership retreat learned how to give Bible studies and how to organize small group evangelism. From March to May women from 20 churches conducted small group evangelism in their homes. From May to June reaping meetings were conducted and on Sabbath, June 8, each church held baptisms. As a result, 148 persons were baptized. Brisé writes, "We have seen revival in the churches where women conducted evangelistic crusades. Some church leaders expressed how much they appreciate the moral and spiritual fervor they have observed in the women of their churches .Many women said they have discovered talents that they continue to use in their churches and professions." Brisé has traveled to the Africa Ocean Indian Division; Port-au-Prince, Haiti, her native homeland; and to Canada, sharing her vision for evangelism. For
2003, she has again challenged the women in her conference to hold evangelistic
programs. She is expecting great things from God as He works with these
women. Brisé says that evangelism is "one of the greatest
privileges of this ministry. I really praise God for giving me an undeserved
privilege to serve in His vineyard." Prayer Corner REQUESTS
