Dear Women’s Ministries Leaders:

This year our International Women’s Day of Prayer packet falls in line with our overall General Conference Women’s Ministries theme for the quinquennium which is “A Ministry for Every Woman.” Our main focus is on helping each woman become involved in a ministry that will convey the love and compassion of Christ to those in need.

The packet can be used as it is printed or as a guideline for your special day. We know that you will take this material and make it your own. You are welcome to make any changes necessary in order for it to be culturally sensitive and acceptable to the women in your area.

The packet was prepared with much love and prayer and we thank our author Dawn Reynolds for the many hours she has invested in this packet.

Please remember to pray for the work and the workers in the following divisions: Inter-American Division, South Pacific Division, and Southern Asia Division. Focus your prayers on women who are suffering from the effects of war, crime and natural disasters. There is a Leader’s Manual for the International Women’s Day of Prayer available for your use on this day. Your Conference, Union, or Division leader should have a copy, but if not you can download it from our website at no cost to you.

When women prayer, God moves in mighty ways. Let this Day of Prayer be one where the workings of God in your lives and in your church is evident to all.
